We need on-site support. Can you provide that?

DSI can provide full-time or part-time support on a permanent basis. Most clients find that because of our unique shared-services model, we are able to provide 24/7 support with part-time resources and pass that savings on to them. Our analysts, developers and DBAs have 8-10 years of experience and our company has been providing these services for over 20 years. Frequently our clients are also able to save money by not having to pay for ongoing specialized training of their IT staff to keep up with the latest software upgrades and fixes. DSI incurs the cost of this training for our people.

We need a permanent, full-time person at our company. How can you help us and can we save any money using DSI?

How do we manage you if you’re working remotely?

First, we are in constant communication with you via telephone and email. Second, we provide periodic status reports regarding work-in-progress and planned activities. In addition, our fractional resource service delivery model allows you to choose which service(s) you engage us on. Since our response times are very fast and because we are so proactive, our clients often say that our service level feels as though we’re located in the same building as they are. Plus, if for any reason you are dissatisfied with our performance, we have a 90 day out option.

We don’t really have any need for your services except for maybe a few very small projects. It’s not really worth our while to talk is it?

You can engage us for project work. We welcome the opportunity to schedule a conference call to better explain how we differentiate ourselves from other software support companies. We have extensive application and infrastructure experience and we are excellent at problem management and performance tuning. In addition, you will not incur any costs while waiting on critical task delays or tasks that are being addressed by your staff.

Why do you say that your IT team has more expertise than many in-house IT people?

Since our core business is applications and infrastructure management we are often better positioned to attract, hire and maintain technical personnel than an organization whose main business is not IT. In addition, due to the number of clients that we have worked with, we have a vast amount of exposure to many different environments and application utilization. Often our clients can derive more benefit from their application by involving us than they could if they were supporting the software themselves.

In addition to cost savings and significant expertise, what other benefits are there to outsourcing ERP system support?

Outsourcing to DSI allows an organization’s internal IT staff to focus on its core business and IT innovation. In addition, DSI eliminates the unpredictable nature of IT costs. We charge a fixed monthly fee for an expected level of service.

Can you improve the performance and reliability of our current system?

Which is faster, implementing a major enterprise application in-house or with DSI?

Most companies implementing a major enterprise application will need to expand their datacenter, develop DBA, middleware, and programming skills and hire operations staff to support multiple time zones. With the experience and resources we have, DSI can provide the skills, as needed, throughout the engagement and with our ability to provide expertise, as needed; we can help you take months off of the job. In addition, DSI can assume the responsibility of keeping the application updated once the project is completed.
